Who we are
Oborn’s Nautical opened in Christchurch, NZ in 1966. We have been offering top-of-the-line product and service solutions to the marine/sailing industry across Canterbury and New Zealand ever since. We specialise in Ronstan Hardware and custom boat fittings, masts, spars, rigging systems, wires, ropes and splicing. We have a full retail store with online shopping along with on-site workshop to cover all product and service needs.
Twenty years ago we realised that the same systems that we used every day in a marine environment could also provide high-spec custom solutions across many non-marine applications. Since then, we have worked on numerous architectural and structural wire and rod system projects across New Zealand and overseas, Ronstan Tensile Architecture.
Customer service is a priority for us and we pride ourselves on being local, friendly, approachable and easy to work with. Our knowledge, expertise and experience are unrivalled in Canterbury.
