Selden Rodkicker

A Seldén Rodkicker supports the boom during sail handling. This can make raising, reefing and dropping of the mainsail easier without dropping the boom to the deck or cabin top.

The Rodkicker is supplied with detailed instructions and is easily fitted to existing setups. The original kicking strap setup can also be reused along with the integrated wire that doubles your original purchase. The extended block attachment lug allows the block to rotate, enabling the tackle to be operated from either port or starboard. 

The integrated Seldén gas spring (inside the housing), lifts the boom when the kicking strap is released opening the leech of the sail. This aids trimming the main in light air. This can also be setup to hold the boom above head height when the sail is down removes the need for a boom topper if cruising.

A slim line design made of anodised aluminum is strong with rounded end-fitting, enclosed sheave and recessed split pin, designed to avoid snagging sails or crew.
